I also have a toddler and this year has been tough! I was laid off and our daycare closed so I became a SAHM suddenly. We have minimal activities to do with him at home and I miss the rewards of working. I read a really great book this summer, Untamed by Glennon Doyle, that opened my eyes to a lot of the stressors that are specific to women. If you don't have time to read the whole book right now (understandably between work and your child) I suggest doing one journaling exercise. Odd, I know but this helps!! Answer this question in as much detail as you can: "What is the truest and most beautiful version of motherhood that you can imagine?" Using our imaginations can help us find answers that we didn't even consider before. This stage of terrible-2's will pass, give yourself some patience and grace to manage it all. Just know, like Rice & Beans said, you are definitely not alone.
